RAJPUTANA RIFLES CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY AT JAIGARH FORT

Jaipur : On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a 500-member strong contingent of the 17th Battalion, The Rajputana Rifles, erstwhile Sawai Man Guards of the Indian Armed Forces, assembled at the majestic Jaigarh today.  Amidst the scenic setting of the Charbagh gardens of the fort, they celebrated the day with a yoga session.

"It is an honour for us to host the Battalion at the fort on Yoga Day for this exercise. The battalion's association with the Royal Family of Jaipur dates back to the days of its formation. The battalion was raised from the Jaipur State Forces and the relationship has remained one of mutual respect and admiration through the years. Activities like this are a step towards strengthening existing ties further in the future. We extend a special thanks to the Commanding Officer of the battalion, Colonel Dev Chandan Das for making the event successful" said the Assistant Director of the Jaigarh Public Charitable Trust, Dr Chandni Chowdhary.
